Let's Take a Trip down Stranger Things' Memory Lane for the Top 15 Most Iconic Moments

Now that the finale episode of Stranger Things Season 5 has aired, I thought it's as good a time as any to recap the entire series and list out some of the best Stranger Things moments. Because hey, hate the finale or the entire season 5, there is absolutely no way you can say some are these moments are not cool and at the forefront of your mind when you think Stranger Things! I had initially wanted to do a top 10 iconic moments but given Stranger Things had 5 seasons, 42 episodes and a total runtime of about 45 hours, it felt like a short-change to limit the list to just 10! So, I have settled for 15. Plenty of spoilers ahead for all seasons. Read on at your own risk! 15. Murray asking about Jonathan's "pull out" Season 2, Chapter 6: The Spy Murray being cheeky Alright, I just had to put this one in because I always end up watching this scene multiple times in one viewing. It was such a tongue-in-cheek moment. But what made it special was when Murray accidentally dr...

Planning to Watch A Romantic Comedy? Check Out These 15 Great Ones You Should Definitely NOT Miss!

Whether it's for Valentine's Day or a simple night's in where you need a light-weight movie for entertainment, romantic comedies are great choices. And like I always think to myself, they don't make them like they used to anymore. Some of the best rom-coms are movies made years ago or in black-and-white.  It has been a challenging list for me to put together because there are so many great choices out there but I finally did it! Here is the list of my top 15 romantic comedies. And because I cannot just ignore other good ones, I have them under the special mentions list. Do share your favourites too as I would love to get acquainted with more. As they say, you can never watch enough rom-coms. 15. As Good As It Gets (1997) This one surprised me that I had included it in the list. I mean it was not easy imagining Jack Nicholson's character as a romantic lead at all. He is not romantic. In fact, he is not normal at all. But by the end, you are left feeling that just may...

Thinking of Taking a Sabbatical from Work? These Are Some Things You Absolutely MUST Consider!

Burnt out and need a break? Hoping to process and repurpose your life? Or just plain sick of grinding for corporations and ungrateful bosses? These are just some of the reasons why you may be considering taking a sabbatical. And while I am the first to say, "Go For It!", having done the same myself, there are things that you absolutely MUST consider to make sure the time you take goes as well as you hoped it would.  Trust me, as someone who jumped headlong into 'taking a break from work life' with some thought, I am still a little disappointed with how things turned out and wished I had just a little bit more advice before embarking on my little break.  So here, I am going to lay out some considerations for you - things that I wished I had taken note of for my own sabbatical. 1. Have a Concrete Plan! Make detailed plans down to the day (Image by  OpenClipart-Vectors  from  Pixabay) And I mean a detailed plan! Write or type them all out. What you are going to do ...

Why 12 Angry Men is a Great Film that I Absolutely Love! | A Film Review

I have watched 12 Angry Men (1957) countless times and every time I get to the end of the movie, it's with a satisfied nod and acknowledgement that, 'yes, this is still one of the best darn movies out there!' 12 Angry Men (1957) Poster Much has already been said about this classic and I likely will not be adding much to the whole discussion but 12 Angry Men has been such a significant part of my own film-watching journey that I can't help sharing my two cents. I will, in my post, refer to the main cast members as Juror #{something} according to their juror number labels in the movie. With Juror #8 though, I'll mention Henry Fonda's name to make it more obvious I'm referring to him. Henry Fonda gets this privilege because if we try to answer the question of whose film 12 Angry Men is, it is obviously Henry Fonda's.  Henry Fonda in 12 Angry Men In a room with 11 jurors in unanimous agreement about the guilt of a murder defendant, he stands as the sole di...
